Like srhjnmgn, I've never thought about the "view active topics" or "view new posts" options. I pop in several times a day, mainly to see if anything is happening on the Tunisia forum and then to see if there's something which interests me on one of the other areas. HT is the first place I come in the mornings, and I always check in again before going to bed. The only time I don't come on is if I'm on holiday as I haven't got a laptop and most of the internet cafes in Sousse leave a lot to be desired.
