..just an update so people know we are still in same boat :

Last I heard was the June 2011 email quoting "we anticipate that you will receive your cheque by the end of July/ beginning of August."

Its now August 24th and surprise, surprise, A1 Travel fails to meet that deadline !
My holiday was paid in Jan 2010 for tavel in Aug 2010 - which means 20 months now they've had my money.

There may be a legal challenge that is possible based upon "severe maladministration" which is worthy of pursuit.
I am finding out more legal advice. More info to follow.

Thank you for the update. We have just come back from a week away and yes same again - no refund cheque waiting on the mat for us!

Just to let everyone know, we received our refund cheque from A1 travel today (minus an admin charge!!!!!!!!!) I hope this may give some hope to people who travelled at the end of last August (our date was 19th). Me personally, I never ever want to hear of A1 travel ever again - I hope this web site and others like it get, the message across to others that they should be avoided at all costs! Good luck everyone. :wave:

Just an update. I have received my refund cheques today.
Most of the money was refunded. The 2.5% credit card fee was deducted. No idea if I can get THAT back.
But its now Dec 2011 and I paid in Jan 2010. So I've lost over 3 grand for 2 years.
Now lets hope the cheques don't bounce !

Hope nobody else is still waiting for Goldtrail refund
