At this time of year it may be better to do inside things. Down beside the beach there is an ice rink (maybe ice hockey match on), there is a pool with slides an amusement arcade and ten pin bowling.
Hope you have fun

Hi Irene :wave

If they boys like football you could take them to Pittodrie to see 'The Dons' who are playing Motherwell in the SPL

Nobles family entertainment on the esplanade at the beach front HERE

Beach Leisure Complex HERE

Codonas Amusement Park HERE

The Satrosphere science Centre HERE

Plus also there are The Belmont, Cineworld and Vue Cinema's

A bus tour of the city through the city centre, university, esplanade and harbour areas is also very interesting, but I have a feeling that they might be finished until next year now :?:
I hope you have a nice tim in the Granite City

Hi
Thanks to you both for your informative replies. Eldest son has just been told that they have got him a ticket for the Aberdeen match - he is 'made up' as he loves all football, the Aatrosphere Science cCntre will be of interest to the youngest son. Maybe I could take myself off for a bit of shopping along Union St? It is over 15 years since we were last in Aberdeen.
Thanks again.

Hi,
Thanks again, hopefully we can get there on the Sunday morning. We have quite a busy time ahead from what's being arranged. Which brings me to another query. We have booked to stay in a Premier Inn, however we have just realised we may be better staying in the AB10/11 area and I am trying to find a reasonably priced guest house up to about £70 per night for a family room, which has parking avaialble Have been on the Scotland tourist office site, no joy does anyone know of a nice guest house that may advertise locally. Would consider a double and a twin but that would probably put the price up further.
Hope someone can help.

Hi everyone,
After looking for what seems like all day have just got a family room at the Adelphi Guest House in the centre and close for everything.
Really looking forward to our visit and my nephews wedding.
Thanks again to evryone who replied to my questions.
I will let you know how the visit goes.

Hope you are having a nice time in the Silver City!!

Trying to get accommodation in Aberdeen is a nightmare during the week. Every, and I mean every hotel is 99% of the time always full. There is a distinct shortage of beds in Aberdeen. The company I work for occassionally has to book accommodation for visitors and believe you me its a nightmare.

That said, if I ever win the lottery, come into a vast sum of money then I am going to build a big hotel in Aberdeen. I am sure I would recoup my money in no time :D

Back from Aberdeen after a lovely wedding, all exhausted. St Machars Cathedral was a lovely setting and the reception at the Norwood Hotel was excellent.
Son enjoyed watching Aberdeen - although he said it was freezing.
Can thoroughly recommend the Adelphi guest house £56 for a 4 bedded room with full scottish breakfast - a bargain.
Spent the little free time we had on Sunday at the 'beach area' near the Noble's amusement park - lost a couple of ££ in the 'slot machines.
Hoping to go back - maybe in February, checked on the Ryanair website no flights showing for half term? Any one know the reason for this?
Thanks again to everyone on the site for their valuable info.
