Try Carys hotel on a bed and breakfast basis,you wont be disappointed.We are there at the same time as you (arrive on the 18th dec for 3 weeks),we are staying across the road at the senhor angelo,we've stayed here before and love it,our friends could'nt get booked in with us last time so they stayed at Carys resort at said it was excellent,and you could always pop over to the senhor angelo and have a beer or 3 with us.Good Luck

some friends of ours stayed at the colonia de braganza for xmas and new year last season and paid £45 per person pre week,b+b they booked over the phone with hays travel.

Hi Pitty, you will be at Senhor Angelos same time us us. We arrive for 3 weeks on 11 December. The first few years we stayed at Carys but it got way too expensive although it is a very clean hotel but we have stayed at Senhor Angelos for the last 6/7 years which is much cheaper.
