We are having 6 nights stop over in Thailand on our return from Australia in early December and want to stay around Hua Hin or Cha Am.
We just want to crash out somewhere nice, close to a beach but also near to restaurants and a bit of life. Many of the lovely looking resort hotels, although reasonably priced, seem to be a taxi out of the action and the smart hotels in the best places are very expensive.
Does anybody know of good, reasonably priced hotels that are close to the town centres? Thanks!
Don't automatically rule out being away from the town, as the beaches are quieter, and you'll get less hassles, and all will be relatively easy to get into town and back.
However, if you want to be in the heart of things, you can't get more central than the Hilton, although Pool Space can be a bit of a bun fight.
Or if you favour something non-chain, I stayed in Putahracsa, and loved it.
If you go on the hui hin after dark website it has good info on accomodation in hui hin
