Does anybody know of a quality adults only ship or a cruise line that regularly does adults only voyages. We have never cruised before but fancy trying the Mediterrean area with a bit of peace and quiet on board.
We definitely don't want a "Butlins at sea" type of holiday but our pockets are not bottomless either.
Many thanks.
We have grown up teenagers now and have just been on RCI Voyager of the seas, there was hardly any children on there.
There are Adult only pool areas and if its dining requests for e.g you dont want children at the dinner table you may be on then request this, but they tend to put familys together.
Good luck
Liz.
P&O Cruises have the Arcadia and I think the Artemis which are child free ships.
whats the budget?
Some good deals for Jan,Feb in the Med on the Jade suites and villas with all the perks.
Thomsons have an adult only ship. I think its the Calypso. She does the Med in the summer.
On Summit on my recent cruise 27th August - 8th September had so few kids I saw them on the final day being taken somewhere on the Ship by the Children staff. There were only about 10 children in total/ I did see a baby once but that was the it.

Sue, I am shocked you would suggest that anyone go on a Thomson ship, especially the Calypso!!
Didn't notice that Colin had suggested Calypso. You should know me well enough by now!
I have been really tired and heading off to bed., Will PM you tomorrow and must make a start on a hotel and Ship review.

However you can still post it while it's fresh in your memory, but I would suggest preparing it in Word or similar first and keeping a copy just in case.

Thanks for that Luci. Will do
I'm off on the Calypso for a week on 29 September. It may be small, but it's over 16s only. However over 16 doesn't necessarily mean adults only .. and I'm talking about myself here!!!
Thanks for all the suggestions folks. We hope to get away spring next year. The budget could stretch to £1600
I got back from my hols this afternoon, and am now catching up ............... I cannot understand why anyone would say 'not the Calypso' because I found it very much to my liking, although I'm a first time cruiser. I will post a trip report once I get the washing on and the unpacking sorted ...... oh and perhaps after a few nights' sleep ......... I was NEVER in bed before 1.30 am or even later, and that's quite something for me! DEFO recommend the Calypso, but you might find that the food, whilst good, is firmly British, and not as exotic as you might be hoping for ........ and yes, I DO like children, but it was wonderful not to have any under 16s on board!!
Glad you had a good holiday Alsa. It's like the old joke "I love children but couldn't eat a whole one" I'm looking forward to an adults only cruise if ever I can persuade the kids not to come with. That may be a long way off if the Bank of Mum and Dad is paying !!!
I'd appreciate it if you could also post your review in THIS TOPIC as it may be a few weeks before it is approved in Cruise Reviews.
Thanks.

we also went on the Calypso earlier this year and it was the best cruise we've been on ......we're not new to cruising and are about to go on our tenth!!! I do find that some people criticise the cruise without even going on it...if you haven't been on a Thomson cruise try it and you might be pleasantly surprised!!!
I woudn't argue with that Judy. We have been on 12 cruises and I have to say that I enjoyed the Thomson's/Sun Cruises ones far better than Princess, P&O and Orient Lines. Yes the latter ones have better, grander facilities and the food may be a tad better, but for the overall cruise experience, and especially the entertainment, the so-called budget lines have been far superior in my opinion.
Hi can anyone advise the best cruise for adults please?
Oh it must leave from UK or maybe France,(no flying) looking for a hot weather cruise.....
Med, Canaries or if you have longer(20+days) the caribbean is doable.
Any of the main lines ex uk 2weeks med cruises before and after the school hols would do the job.
