Hello all,
I am planning a break somewhere nice in early September for 10-12 days. I really need some rest and relaxation, peace and quiet, some warmth to lounge about in (why not!) and no children running around (which would be minimal but somehow there are always some people who take children outside school holidays) and little or no disco/clubs. I was looking at Madeira, but for flight reasons I have decided to give it a miss. I rather fancy a nice little place somewhere in Italy (the south appeals) where there are a few restaurants, the odd bar for the odd beer and a decent hotel. I have only been to Italy once, a school trip to Rme many many years ago, so my knowledge is all but non-existent. Budget is around £1,000, I am prepared to pay for quality, I need a decent break! Does anyone have any pointers?
Many thanks.
We had a great holiday at Lake Garda last September. The weather was lovely and warm and there were no children in our hotel and very few at all in the resort.
Have you considered Sardinia?
