Different people have different ideas about what constitutes 'quiet' and 'noisy'. For example, talking with my neighbour over the garden fence on Sunday I realised that her idea of a 'quiet' resort was closer to my idea of a very lively one even if she was talking about Playa de Las Americas 15 years ago! I would usually recommend somewhere like Kalyves or Almerida to anybody asking for recommendations for a 'quiet' resort in Crete but have seen others on this forum recommend resorts which I would consider to be far from quiet and more like my idea of hell. These things are very subjective and I think we would find it easier to offer some suggestions if you could tell us which resorts you've been to in the past - not necessarily in Crete - that you enjoyed and have what for you is the right balance between being 'not too quiet and not too noisy'. People could then make suggestions for something similar for you in Crete.
