Just to keep you up to date ! Thanks to your reviews and ideas we ended up in Olu Deniz!
We are now looking at the Montana Pine which is not AI, quiet and may be just what we are after!
It is about £2000 for 2 weeks half board in a superior room so that may be about right. Will just have to drink less cocktails --



It may seem off topic, but if it hadn't been for your ideas we would never have found it !

Montana Pine looks like a stunning hotel, its halfway between Olu Deniz and Hisoranu I've always faniced it myself, as we have picked up and dropped off there when on trips.

Who did you get your good price with please ? I got something like £3,800 for 4 of us next summer, on Thomsons main site when I checked on Thurs when the prices came out. Seemed a lot as it's HB, but then looking at the other prices I guess that's going to be the going rate next summer.

Trust me to miss all the excitment over the price for Letonnia.

presto i think you have made a good choice having been to both resorts i prefer olu deniz,more scenic than turgetreis, the lagoon area is gorgeous. i dont know anything about the hotel you are looking at, but i do know this hotel is also highly recommended and i think its an adult only hotel, might be worth looking at Oyster Residence Hotel

I was going to say have a look at the Olu Deniz resort in Olu (A/I) . Prices are coming up for £996 per adult for around your dates for 2 weeks as a package with travel republic . So slightly less than £2000 . It's one of the better hotels in Olu as far as reviews go but you will probably find a lot of families there at that time .

I think if you are after peace though the Montana pine looks a good choice but if your up to a little more research on Olu ,as well as the oyster residence you could have a peek at the Belcecan delux (not sure about the spelling there) My friend (very particular and very much 4* minimum kind of girl ) had a stroll around there and thought it looked fab . Think they do half board ,havnt looked at the reviews though.

Re prices for the Montana Pine - it is coming out on line at about £2108 for half board in a superior twin with extra leg room seats (for hubby). As it is a prem. hotel we get the extra bits with Thomsons. I think that is pretty good going for a good hotel mid August with all the added bits especially when I think it gives us everything we want in a hotel!

Have also spoken to someone at work who has been and she just said "Lovely, lovely, lovely, ... really beautiful" so that sounds good to me!

Must admit this is one hotel I have had my eye on for years and I suppose it is a case of going with your gut reaction !!!!

I think we are going to book but will check the others first!!! (You never know!)



I am aware that this thread has changed since the original post ---- can we give it a new name like "Where to go? Confused?!" !!!!!

After reading that presto I wouldnt bother looking at the others. It may confuse you . Go with your gut instinct and book it . Plenty more time in the next few years to look at the others .

I'm with Lyn, if you have a good price, I would go with it it looks lovely from the outside all set in the pine trees, Very beautiful and you probably get a nice breeze up there unlike down in Olu.
