Still no edinburgh flights yet. although they are advertising edinburgh.
Do Aegean only do night flights from Gatwick?? I am trying to book something for next year but with my two young children and my paretns going I don't think night flying will be a good idea...
We booked yesterday 31st july to 21st august 2009 £156 each. Today the same flight is £268!
£272.00 for 2 of us flying from Manchester to Dalaman, 18 days, just checked now on the Aegean website and the price is now £326.00 for the same flights
Hi what is the website for booking the flights, thanks Jackie
still trying very hard to save for our spending money in october... so cant really afford to pay full price at the moment!
http://www.aegeanflights.co.uk. You have to pay for the flights in full.
The website is On sale 2 June - if you book before 31 August we guarantee no surcharges!" I have take a copy of the web page onto my PC just in case they try and charge beginnng of next year. Would advise others to do the same.

I'm so glad I looked on here tonight after not being on for a week or two. Have just booked July 30-August 13 2009 for £176 each from Newcastle. The same flights for this year were only £86 last June but we did receive an additional fuel surcharge recently. They're still a great price when you think of how much everything's going up.
Booked our flights on tuesday, fly from Bristol, August 15th for 2 weeks £156 each.
booked our flights on tuesday aug 7th -21st £471 they are now £968 cant believe that so glad i booked then
cheers dodge
I'm thinking about booking some for late in 2009 and of course a lot can happen by then.
Cheers.
its £20 a name change and no problems at all by doing it.

The above reads that it will cost £20 to change a name but this is the stinger, the last line basically says if the price of the flight has increased you need to pay the increase as well.
It's happened see http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=117112

Read the T&C on their site at Changes by You: If you wish to change your plans in any way, or change the names on the booking and we can accept the change, a charge of £20.00 per person per amendment will apply provided that your instructions are received in writing within 14 days of departure. We will try to help you but we cannot guarantee that we will always be able to do this as changes are subject to availability at the time. You will also need to pay any difference in the flight price that results from such a requested change.

It's the second bit of their statement that I wasn't sure about "You will also need to pay any difference in the flight price that results from such a requested change."
I've managed to get through to them on the phone now and they said that if the lead passenger details change they charge the difference in the cost of the flight (which could have gone up by a lot!) but this doesn't apply if the change is for another person on the booking.
Yes, the information in that thread would seem to tie in with what they just told me in that effectively if you try to sell the tickets on (and so the lead passenger details change) you will be charged the difference in the current cost of the flight.
Cheers.
OK I've booked. £137 each for return flights Bristol to Dalaman at the end of August 2009.
looking at going sept 09 what kind of price would you say are good?
I'm not sure who you were aiming your question at, but this is how I looked at it. I'm about to go on a two week holiday costing just over £1,000 for two of us. The holiday actually costs more if you book it for September.
If we assume the same budget for next year, paying £274 for the flight leaves us with over £700 to rent some accomodation (which will probably cost more like £300) and sort out transfers. So I would be amazed if it doesn't work out cheaper plus as we have the flight sorted we should be able to pick a nice apartment somewhere next year.
I did look at booking flights for this year, but as they were coming in at nearly twice as much (about £250 each) I went with a package deal. With the way oil prices are going it seems unlikely that the cost of flights is going to come down.
Cheers.
