Afternoon Tea

I have a special birthday (!) approaching in January and we are thinking of an afternoon tea with all the works. Have done some homework but would appreciate hearing from people who've done the same. We live in Salford and would look both locally and perhaps as far as Chester, Liverpool, etc.

Have a look on Groupon, Wowcher Key103 deals etc they often have deals for afternoon tea.
There was a really nice one I saw on FB the other day, I will see if I can find it and let you know.
Also all the big hotels on Liverpool/Chester will have them too, the Grosvenor in Chester would be superb and I think Cloud23 at the Hilton Manchester does them too.
Oh and there Slattery's (cake maker to the stars) in Prestwich (I think),they do afternoon tea too.
