I always use Nivea Sun Regenerating After Sun Balm with Lotus Extract....I find this very good and it makes my skin feel very soft and well hydrated.

I use the Avon Dry Spray Oil - use it when I am on holiday to 'fend off' mossies and when I get back continue using it - keeps my skin hydrtated, use both morning and evening.

I usually use moisturiser but if I've caught too much sun then definitely after sun. I read once (don't remember where) that they're formulated differently and moisturiser will just seal in the heat. For aftersun I usually go for a tan maintainer one like Ambre Solaire - or whatever else is on 2 for 1!!

For a moisturiser Nivea Q10 is great. And for those really dry bits - elbows, heels etc, I swear by Scholl deep moisturising cream.

I do like San Tropez body moisturizer it is lovely, if skin is a bit tender though I always use natural aloe vera gel, can't beat it.
I never buy a 'proper' aftersun.

I do like to wear a whiff of perfume on hols, so I don't want anything that's highly scented either. I do find that Aftersun cools me down, but I'm not sure about the moisture bit. Also as I've only got 15kgs for 2 weeks B&B - towels etc - I'm going to buy all of my toiletries & sun care products in Manchester airport - so preferably I need something I can get in Boots :think

You can get the Nivea Sun Regenerating After Sun Balm with Lotus Extract in Boots at Manchester airport as I have bought it there. It comes in a tub and you will find it goes a long way and is also not highly perfumed as I like to wear perfume in the evenings too.

thanks Angie - I'd better start writing my list for the airport - after all I'm going in August :rofl :rofl When we went to the D Rep last year my bill in Boots Gatwick was just over £100. It's surprising how quickly things mount up. When you buy things weekly you don't notice the cost!

Oh the dreaded list.............I am like you I have to make a list and tick everything off :rofl I agree you dont notice how much you spend when you get items off the list week by week but what a shock when you buy all your requirements at the airport. :omg

I always used to use the Avon after-sun with insect repellent (did 2 jobs in 1) but they stopped making it a couple of years ago. Now I still use after sun but also a little squirt of the Avon sss dry oil around the wrists and back of knees (as a mossie deterrent).

I use Piz Buin tan intensifier after sun, and about 10 minutes later start again with Avon carotene moisturiser. Eventually when that lot's soaked in I spray with mozzie repellent :rofl

Have used the list for a few years now Graham - great!

are the prices in boots at gatwick the same as high street boots

Pat - according to my sister, who is manageress of a Boots store in the Midlands, yes they are. Apparently though, in Wales prices are slightly cheaper.
