Being the summer always make sure after sunning and showering am especially kind to my arms and legs, with the body lotion.
Always kept in Johnsons, avon etc.
However in a raffle I won a trial pack of "Nina Ricci" - Love in Paris, shower gel, perfume and body lotion.
Well the lotion is equally as good as wearing the perfume. The smell is lovely and fresh and it is amazing how long the scent stays on.
Now, I would not usually rate such a product- but the amount of peeps whom have commented on "What is that lovely smell" I have lost count!
Even the beautician I go to occasionally wrote down the name of it!! (So must be nice eh....?)
Towards the end of the trial pack I trotted off to the chemist where I won the raffle to purchase more.
Again my lucky day. As their premises are not over big they stock maybe only one of each range. As they were bringing in another range from "Nina Ricci" the last 2 bottles of lotion were down in price from £22 to £11.
Has anyone else any other ot this range or using a good one too?
So the moral of the story is - although you sometimes get collared for such things as raffles when you really do not want to buy- like I did.... you never know what it could lead to.
I love "The Sanctuary" products from Boots especially the Body Moisture spray. I always buy when Boots got 3 for 2 special. They do a body milk spray too. I take on holiday and use after shower. Not tried the Ninna Ricci range, I'll sniff it out in the perfume shops on hols though
Avon have got a lovely new fragrance - Exotic Beaches - they do an eau de toilette spray (which you 'shake to mix'), a body polish (scrub), shimmering body lotion (the scent lasts for ages) and an SPF hair spritz.
I got the lotion, scrub and EDT when it first came out and I've just ordered the hair spritz. Because it's Avon, it's not too expensive and there's always special offers on anyway. It's a lovely smell, kind of similar to J-Lo Glow, but also quite individual too.
They've also just introduced some new products in the Foot Works range - Beach Treats Sea Salt Foot Scrub and Cooling Foot Spray - they smell gorgeous
I'm not an Avon rep or anything, I just like trying their new stuff because it's always on special offer when it's new

Just recently come accross body butter from the body shop. This comes in different fragrances, and they all smell gorgeous.(Shea, and mango are my fav ) It's £10 for 200ml, it's a very thick cream (Think that's why it's named body butter), when applied it leaves skin feeling really soft, and is ideal if you have really really dry skin , Which I do!. I can definately recommend this one, it's the only product that has helped my dry skin. Regards, BBB.
The bodyshop body scrub is very good, you can get that in different scents and it leaves your skin feeling lovely and clean after
I have to be really careful as I have sensitive skin, this is really soothing and rubs in the skin wonderfully.

I too am a great fan of the body shop body butters. I met a woman on holiday in egypt who worked for the body shop, she explained that you can go in and ask for free samples before you buy. my husband has a very bad patch of eczema on his ankle and she suggested their hemp body butter, apparently even GPs are reccomending it. it really did the trick and now I am sold on the stuff. I especially love the satsuma and the coconut ones and just from the lovely smell alone a lot of my work mates have started using them.
Hi la-lampinkfluff, I agree on the Hemp, I used to get break outs of eczema my hands in winter and the itching used to drive me mad, I bought some of the Hemp hand cream and it was brilliant, as good as cream I've had from the doctors
I also love the Exotic Beaches line from Avon, i have used the scrub, cream and the hair spritz, which i found to be great, didn't know they have EDT spray, thanks will check out their website and order 1.
I love the Sanctuary products in Boots. I try and buy when they're on offer and as my sister works there as well I usually get a good price. The souffle is lovely but I haven't tried the moisture spray is it an oil or just a liquid?
HelenT - It has oils in it but it's not greasy at all it's just lovely. Try it you'll love it I'm sure. Have a little "skoosh" of it before you buy
i too like the Avon exotic beach stuff. really refreshing...and believe it or not.. Morrisons own coconut body moisturiser is also good..i suffer terribly with dry skin and i also have to be careful what i put on it as i seem to have an allergic reaction to alot of things ( can't touch anything from the Body Shop range) so anything i can have is used over and over ( I am ok with most Avon products too) if annyone knows of anything else that might be good for poor sould like me with dodgy skin please let me know...
If anyone has a TKMAXX near to them it's worth looking in to see what toiletries they have on offer, they usually do a lot of moisturisers for body and some especially for the feet or gift sets containing both often top brands at really good prices, I bought a pot of moisturiser from there last year called The Tub, it's really nice
If I peel on this holiday there'll be hell to pay
Oh, also pumiced all my feet, well the 2 I have , then rubbed in Superdrug's Vit.E skincare oil. I'm like a greased monkey
Hi all. Can anyone recommend a self heating body scrub. Did try a great one whilst staying at my sister's but can't remember what is was. I know she got it at Boots. I'll have to get in touch with her to find out. In the meantime can anyone advise me on any good ones. Thanks
Joolz - I've been feeling a bit sorry for myself this morning, but I've just read your last post and have now got a fit of the giggles. If you don't do anything else today you've really cheered me up. I just can't stop laughing.
Helen T - glad to of been of assistance When you've got to go through the same routine everynight it's not funny
That's some routine you've got there joolz Worth it to get your skin ready for the sunshine though. When you've got to go through the same routine everynight it's not funny
I exfoliate and then use Johnson's Holiday Skin every day for a week or so before the holiday, starting with the 'light to medium' and then the final few days moving on to the 'medium to dark'. Last year I used EcoTan every day before and during the holiday, but it didn't give me a better tan
Cyberspacecadet,As you are a fan of Avon, have you not tried the Skin so Soft Satin Glow. It does the same job as the Johnsons holiday skin stuff.
Yeah, but it's more expensive, and Johnsons is always on BOGOF or half-price somewhere or other... At the moment I'm using the Dove tan moisturiser (it was on BOGOF) but I prefer the Johnsons one, the Dove one is thicker and feels 'sticky' on the skin for quite a while after using, and the 'tan' effect isn't as good. I'll stick with Johnsons, I've already stocked up loads of the stuff from when it was on BOGOF in Boots and Superdrug a while ago. I may try the Avon one if it's on offer at the equivalent of a Johnsons BOGOF and my supply of Johnsons has run out...As you are a fan of Avon, have you not tried the Skin so Soft Satin Glow. It does the same job as the Johnsons holiday skin stuff.
