A couple of years ago I met a sprightly 80+ man down CSM road. We were in the original Eclipse restaurant that was originally Paul's then Eclipse, and is now Pauls again ( kind of opposite KC'S)

He had a walking stick and the hot weather was doing him the no-end of good. I think his name was Jim/James

Just goes to show you are never too old to enjoy Goa.
Plus I was happy he was up Baga way, as my impression is that the over 50 tend to enjoy Candolim more as Calangute and Baga is "too busy". Sorry if this is an ageist remark, but that's the impression I get from this forum....
Candolim......Candolim..... Candolim.....

We fit in the most popular category. I guess younger folk with children don't want to sit on a plane for 9+ hours and besides, as a winter holiday destination there is little opportunity without paying OTT Christmas prices.
As for Baga/Calangute, it's OK for a wander but basically avoided by the more discerning :yikes :yikes :rofl

This could definatley go off topic (sorry Fiona) My wife and I are in the 70+ group and always stay in the Calangute area, so accordind to the last post that makes us non discerning. I'm a real India fan, and round about 6.00pm at the Calangute market area is as near as you can get to the "real India". I find Candolim a bit too touristy and European for my taste, but would'nt dream of calling all the Candolim fans anything other than discerning. Different strokes for different folks, Dave Wales. lan

P.S. I haven't been to Candolim other than along the main road in a taxi.
