The Greek ministries of transport and tourism, in an effort to boost numbers, have scrapped landing, takeoff and stopover fees at Greece's regional airports until September  which should save the average family about £40  but Noel Josephides, of Sunvil, says airlines are keeping the money.
Tour operators claim they are annoyed as they cannot pass the saving onto customers. But as TOs such as Thos Cook and Thomson own their airlines I find that excuse carries little weight with me.

when the greeks have done this to boost numbers....its shabby hardfaced theft from passengers by the airlines...it was meant to make it cheaper for holiday makers to go to greece....If they really want to boost the numbers....next time they should still charge the airlines....and instead give every holiday maker 10euros as they go through passport control.....what a publicity stunt ....nothing better than hard cash being put in the hand .....and would cost them no more .....
