Yes you can take sandwiches, and also drinks.
thanx for the info
im flying from east midlands on 10th june to antalya we are travelling with an older couple who want to do some sandwiches to take to the airport with them
thanx dave
This time last year you were not allowed foodstuffs through U.K. airports as i travelled to antalya then , I am going again this year and I have checked with my airport which is glasgow. If you try a web search for the airport you are flying from you will find out for definate. Some of the restrictions are lifted this year but not all of them .You will find you will have no problems on the way back ,something i dont quite understand.
Flying From Edinburgh
As my hubby hates plane food he always takes a sandwich with him and has had no problems, as long as it is in your handluggage I think you should be okay
It Liquids that are causing the problem you cannot get drinks through secuirty.
Likewise we always take food with us, we usually fly with Onur Air and dogmeat is not a particular favorite of ours, not had any problems yet.
