Hi Gemma .... I don't understand that. Unless you have different taxi licencing laws, I would have thought that any local taxi could take you to the airport. Perhaps you should check out our Manchester Airport Q&As topic to see if any companies have been recommended there.

Gemma, firms that do airport runs advertise in our local weekly paper. Have you checked that out as if this is what they do for a living then it can be slightly or even a lot cheaper than a taxi firm. Good luck

Near me (Midlands) any taxi firm will take and pick you up from the airport!
