hi everyone
sorry i have been away for a while but my wife has just had a major operation but is recovering nicely now.
I hope that I offer a fair price for a good service, but I also have access to one of the best smaller family run transfer companies here. They look after my customers whenever I am already booked ( say on one of my "see the Real Algarve" days out. Or when the group is larger than I can manage. ( I have arranged transfers for a group of 23 Americans, try fitting all them in a disco !!)
I hadnt realised the implication of the 10 euros a head deal, it would work out very expensive for some of the journeys, wouldnt it? Our price of 30 euros to Albufeira for 1-4 people seems quite good !!
Thanks again for the kind comments
Alan
Going back over the old posting I realised that I hadnt said that my e mails are all functionong perfectly again. The joys of the internet when a "host" goes bust.
hi alan. I found a free webhost called bravenet.com and I have found it ok, why dont you try it for your apartment.Hope your wife is feeling better after her operation. Re: the airport transfers sorry I havnt been able to pass anything your way with our guests but they all seem to be hiring cars . Regards Jayjan

The best company is Luxclube for excursions and transfers check on http://www.luxclube.co.uk or send an e-mail asking for prices from 1 to 4 persons they do 24 €.
Regards
Pedro
If you are looking for a good company try this one
http://www.ownersinportugal.org is name is Alan Sutton originally from the UK but now lives on the Algarve. He does an excellent personal airport transfer service with a reasonable charge maybe one of the cheapest around. Regards Jayjan
why dont you try
Looking on luxclube site the charge is 40 euros from faro to albufeira not 25 as you say, that charge applies only to villamoura why dont you be honest cos honesty pays in the long run if you want to generate business.I own on the Algarve and look well into airport transfer charges for my guests and your site gives a different price appertaining to Albufeira.Hope I havnt offended you but as i said earlier dont mislead. Regards Jayjan
http://www.albufeira.com/ we found there rates to be resonable

very reliable just fax your flights details over, and landing time and they will be waiting as you come though customs. A mini bus will take you to
albufeira about 28 euros one way, i believe a cab is about 40 euros now.
Just a quick note for anyone looking for transfers or apartments / villas in the Algarve .
We have just returned from albufeira and had a fantastic time .
We used a company called xxxxxxxxxx to rent our villa and they also came to pick us up at the airport .
The villa was excellent and so was the service .
Even better was that they are an English company and so no language barrier .
Excellent villa , prices and service , we will be using them again in the future
Check them out on xxxxxxxx

David ... we always like to hear the recommendations of holidaymakers who are genuinely satisfied with the companies which they have used. But I'm a bit puzzled as to why this company which you have used and are so keen to recommend just happens to have the same e-mail address as you.
According to another of his posts he lives in the Algarve...
Yes, and he also does airport transfers
well spotted Dave (Ht Moderator)/Manuel. I also thought it strange that he has just had an holiday in Albufeira, and on another query about the sereia da oura apartments he says he lives on the algarve and his job is doing airport transfers. Very coincidental to me. Its nice to honest because deceit does not pay. Also Algarveholidays has two names Dale & David. Regards Jayjan
As no reply, recommendations/advertising links removed here and in other posts.
By the way, I booked the well-located Ourasol Apartments today via last-minute.com. I am a little wary since nobody who frequents this forum seemed to have been there. I have a feeling I might still be the first person to submit a review when I return towards the end of August.
Looking forward to the holiday though, especially as my family all love the sun and there seems to be a great variety of activities and restaurants/bars to go to.
Theres Alan on here somewhere...otherwise a taxi is about 35/40 euros.
