Just some general info:

Taxis
Taxis are regulated , only Taxis from Mahon(registered) area are allowed to pick from airport and are charged more for this benefit hence any price differences between out/in journey. Conversely only taxis for the area of your accomm., are allowed to pick up to go to airport - so again a Mahon taxi driver cannot pick up a return fair( and they do keep to the rules as the island is small and the locals drivers will report them!). There are only 4-5 Areas,hence taxi groups and these are the TAXI numbers you see around on lamppost signs "Radio Taxis" etc -THE ARE NO BEST TAXI numbers to ring !:-) there are only these local ones which are plastered everywhere

If your journey is less than 25km and there are only max Four in your party then in general a taxi from airport is cheaper/quicker than a transfer

Transfer Services
work out better for groups, where it is to the west coast and you are prepared to share with others(with waits etc )

BTW shuttle menorca use an old established transport company so they have a lot of vehicles and are reliable. There is a manned/womaned office as you come out of arrivals, that is signed with them and A2B-but the office acts as the contact point for all service companies- so this person knows a flight is delayed etc

What ever transfer service you use make sure you are TOLD which is the company actually providing the service for you. Many,many of these internet sites are just intermederies
