Personally I always find either Boots has the perfume I want on special offer (maybe in a gift set) or our local HJ Hughes/Superdrug/Bodycare/Matalan has perfume at really good prices. I think the duty free is very expensive for perfume and make-up.
Moved to flights and airports.
I would agree that people would be wise to look elsewhere before purchasing anything from the UK "duty free" or other airside shops - they are, without doubt, an expensive option despite the worthless BAA "price promise". If you know what you want, shop around on the internet and you will, almost without exception, significantly beat the prices charged by the UK Duty Free shops. The only thing I buy in the UK airports is a coffee whilst waiting to board and a newspaper & bottle of water for the flight.
I would agree with the others. The days of cheap 'duty free' shopping are long gone. There's rarely any difference these days between the high street and duty free unless you are buying cigarettes for travel outside of europe.
Thank you all for the replies i will go shopping at the weekend Cheers
