Was called to board our plane at Palma recently when a young girl asked us to answer a few questions, how many holidays we take etc.It didnt dawn on me that she might be gathering info for holiday club/timeshare as we were in departures queueing to board.
Had the telephone call "You have been picked to receive a free holiday" etc.
How do these people get airside.Do they buy a cheap flight ticket so that they can get there.
same happened to us in Faro twice this year. I asked them outright 'are you timeshare' Their answer was no but it would be wouldn't it
They were probably telling the truth. If it had been timeshare then you would have some protection in law. However it was probably a holiday club which does not have the same protection.
There is a topic in the Algarve / Portugal forums about this too.
When we had the phone call about winning a competition we'd done on x date, I said oh that can't be right, we were on holiday then...
Afterwards, I realised what it was
yes, how DID they get airside?
I shall go and look at that link, thanks
Us to. In September. Had a phone call a couple of weeks ago and when questioned said we had to go to a presentation in Birmingham for 2 hours and there we would be given our tickets and travel details. Cost 29.00 something each towards flight and was definitely timeshare. Needless to say we didn't go as had been caught before.
Got another call of this company, they are persistant.
Companies buy space airside for marketting so it's easy to get captive custom
