could anyone who has stayed here tell me how much it is to upgrade to all inclusive
thanks
Going there for a week on 24th May half board, will try to remember to check out the cost for you or you could email the akteon@spidernet.com.cy if they don't get back after a day or two email them again. I did this to upgrade to a sea view room and got sorted.
When we were there (end of May) it was CP17.50 a day for All inclusive. we were half board and the food was good always something we liked. Nice clean hotel. We upgraded to a sea view room which was really nice.
Hope you have a great holiday
we have just come back from the Akteon, and thought it was fine. Room was large and clean, maid service very good, and we really enjoyed the breakfast.
We had a hire car for the whole week so the location did not bother us, but I could see why some people have complained about it being so far out of Paphos.
Only other bad point I can think of is the entertainment, which was dire (what we saw of it ) but that might not be the case later in the season.
The pool area looked nice, but you can't get in the sea here, you have to walk along the very nice coastal walkway, to the St George hotel before you can get in the sea.
I also was a bit worried after I had booked it, but of course now I wonder what I was worrying about!
I'm going there on 23 May with my wife for her 60th. It looks like I might enjoy myself, and she won't like that one little bit.
Stayed at the Akteon 14th to 21st March. Used Going Places .. never again. Holiday nightmare. Rooms crawling with ants.. bathrooms were disgusting.. First aptmnt we 1st stayed in was like a converted garage. Not what we booked. Kicked up a stink and got upgraded for free with sea views. Not one rep appologised or tried to help, even before we left the UK when they made mistakes with our booking. Apartments at front enterance to complex ..be warned.... there is a disco/night club with live singing right opposite and they have all the windows open too. Very loud and goes on till 1am. Food very good. You will benefit from a 4x4 to get around the tracks of the island if you like exploring. The Island is fascinating if you go off the beaten track and has lovelly people. Very arid and has had drought for past 3 yrs so don.t expect too much green or colour. Had beaches much to ourself werever we went. Best time to go feb mar apr.. before it gets too hot a humid.
Hope I've not put anyone off.. we've travel much of the world and speak as we find.. no frills or exagerations.
Andy
Oh dear, which bit worried you, as overall we had a good time ?
Hi, now i'm even more worried after reading about the ants !!!!! although i'm glad to hear the food is good. We have booked independently through travel republic so dont know what will happen if we have to complain as no reps !! I will give a full review when i return. We have booked a sea view apartment so maybe those ones will be ok
If she thinks I'm enjoying myself......
Sorry to hear you had a bad start, Andy.
I'm just looking forward to the break, (not my neck if she reads this).
Andy or bellavista, were any of you all inclusive ? also are there bars/ restaurants or shops within walking distance ? and sorry to ask so many questions but was there kids entertainment going on ? thanks cait
We were on bed and breakfast so don't know about the other meals or drinks. There isn't much in the immediate vicinity except other hotels, although there is a shop at the Akteon I think. They do have a kids club as I saw a room but I don't think it was operational in March. There is a taxi rank and a car hire place outside the hotel, although we hired a car from the airport. Also a bus stop at the top of the road, and one restaurant on the main road(Pentaras?)that would be walking distance.
thanks for the reply bellavista, hopefully the kids club will be opened as it is easter we are going,
