Just come back from above after 2weeks on 8 oct 07
Me and wife are 50years old went with daughter and son-inlaw early 30s
taking our first and only grandson 13 months,we went along to help out (IE baby sitters) like a lot of grandparents had done.
The hotel complex is approx 30 min walk to marina but there is a free bus every half hour, bus always turned up.
the spanish waiters/ restaurant staff ect were the best 10/10
food was 10/10 as well, never missed any breakfasts as they cater for english tastes.
Drinks were fine, spanish shorts good measures given never had to queue long for drinks pop for kids was self sevice.
try the sangria very nice.
Plenty of activities for the kids
one big swimming pool,3 smaller ones plenty of sunbeds, but the english were putting the towels on best ones the night before, rained three nights while we were there. shame about towels getting soaked.
Change travellers cheques in alcudia we were getting 141 euro to £100 cheque. 136 in the hotel.
The down sides for me and family were.
The hotel could do with a make over bathrooms bedrooms were showing there age broken tiles yellow stains in toilets/bath. all fittings well worn.
with a hotel for families the noise was very bad kids running up and down corridors shouting and screaming, i have never heard so many doors BANG shut in all my life one every five minutes on average.
I would ask for a high floor 9 is highest as most youngsters seem to be on the low floors.
if you are used to kiddy noise then i am sure you will love it sorry to to say but we wont be going back only because of the noise.
daughter tried a couple of chinese restaurants gran china was best its on sea front near marina.
The pub across road from hotel sell john smiths i drink bitter 3 euros
take your fishing rod there was plenty fishing the nearby lakes.
Any Qs just ask
