I'm looking for somewhere different for a weekend break and have always fancied visiting the Alhambra. Does anyone know if this would be feasible from Malaga airport and how you can travel from the airport to Granada? Is there anything else worth seeing in Granada or would it be best to spend the rest of the weekend in Malaga?
Thanks for any advice, Maria
Hi Maria ... I have a feeling you may be best in our Costa del Sol forum, which already has various comments about the Alhambra, Granada and Malaga:
Have a look in the Costa del Sol forum as David suggests and you'll see that there's more than enough to see and do to fill a weekend break.
As for your original query there is a regular express coach from the bus station in Malaga to Granada which is relatively cheap. The easiest way of getting from the airport to the bus station is to get a taxi - it's a relatively short hop. I can't provide you with exact details but I went to Granada for a dance course ane went straight there but some of the group came via Malaga as they were leaving from a different regional airport and found it failry qhick and easy to do. The Spanish tourist office can provide you with information but you find some further details here
