Not to worry hankpotter it's the kind of info we're all demanding in here The rooms look great glad you posted that cause we've booked one bed superior too. Glad you had a good time though
hi hankpotter, glad you had a fab time. can you tell me if the creche opperate a stay and play session during the day. last year in turkey the creche was open for an hour or so for parents to use with thier little ones. just wondered if they do this in cyprus?
The creche didn't operate stay & play sessions when I was there, someone was asking about that when I was in there and they said they don't do them. Might change as the season goes on I guess!! I remember that they did those in the HV Turkey as well.
The water jets, sprinklers etc in the splash pool aren't on all the time, they would come on at about 10.30-11 ish and stay on until after 3, they are really good. The water tower wasn't on the first week I was there but was fixed the 2nd week and it's pretty good too. Very powerful, my husband said that it hurt him when it came on .....the kids love it though!!
Anyone going soon ? Only 8 days left for me!!!!!!
EllsBells - not long now then...............bet you can't wait
3 weeks to go for me, tickets arrived this week. So excited! Still thinking I should shed a few pounds before getting into my bikini but i've just eaten a big cream cake ..maybe I should think about stretching my stomach in preparation for the all inclusive...yep, I like that idea more!
Aye you will need the extra stretch...me and my husband put 4lbs on each when we were there!!!
4lbs isn't sooo bad I suppose and fat always looks so much better when it's tanned don't you think?
That's what holidays are for anyway!!! I was on a mad diet from January this year - lost a stone and a half, then went to the HV Aliathon and ate more there in 2 weeks than I'd eaten in the previous 6 months
Just returned from aliathon on Wednesday . Stayed for a week self catering in fishing village. My daughter and son-in-law and 2 children were with us. Fabulous time. already thinking of booking up for 2 weeks next year. The whole complex is super and the staff are really friendly .Everywhere is spotlessly clean and we didn't see any spiders or lizards. The local beach is quite rocky so we got bus into coral beach which is great. Buses run every 15 mins to harbour , market, and beach. Still wanted to see and do much more when it was time to leave. Very ,very hot climbing up to upper 40's when we left so take plenty of sun protection. Restaraunts are all lovely, with delicious food and great service. Kids clubs are brilliant and our grandchildren had a whale of a time in them. Full marks to First Choice for this. Met a couple who were getting married at the Aliathon in gardens under gazebo. She was having her reception somewhere at the harbour. She was impressed by the standard of service she got at Aliathon arranging everything. Nothing was too much trouble for staff at village and First Choice reps were super friendly. Went to pool in aegean village a couple of times and can honestly say we would not have been dissappointed if we were allocated a room there. Went on Cypriot night cruise and can recommend it food was gorgeous. Can't wait to go back. To everyone still to go, hope you have as good a time as we did. Enjoy !!
Hi Flisgo glad you had agood time. What type of room did you have in the Fishing Village ?
One bedroom deluxe. Funiture was lovely and a well equipped kitchen and bathroom. They even supplied bath robes and shower gel. There was ample storage for clothes, but would take a few hangers with you. Also when we arrived tea coffee sugar jams milk and crackers waiting for us . We were taken on buggy to room and then luggage was brought.
Where do the children sleep ?
What was the view like from your room ?
Was your balcony big ?
Thanks, much appreciated
If you havn't done so already it would be appreciated if you would post a review of the hotel by clicking the Hotel Reviews link at the top of the page.
Thanks
luci
im just curious what kind of daytime activities there are for adults ? been to HV before and it was Water Polo, Water Volleyball, beach Volleyball, footy etc, is it the same sort of thing at The Aliathon ? I'm not one to sit on a sunlounger all day !
Could anyone tell me if the plug sockets are definately two or three pin? I'm sure someone mentioned earlier that they were three pin but i thought i'd mention it again to make sure. 38 sleeps to go!!!!
Has anyone stayed in a kids suite yet? My wife, two girls - 14 & 8 - and i are staying in one and wondered if anyone knew roughly where on the complex they were situated and if the rooms were spacious enough. Any pics or ideas would be greatly appreciated, cheers.
Oh me again, sorry to be a pain but can anyone tell me if there is air conditioning in the lounge and the bedrooms as the wife and kids like it pretty cool during the nights, cheers
