Does anyone know if inflatables are allowed in the pool and if so can they be bought on site?

Gill G Inflatables can be bought at the shop infront of the complex they will also inflate them for you,but you tend to find as we did people will pass them on as they are leaving, who wants to take a blow up crocodile and a 5ft dinghy home with them!

Has anyone stopped in a deluxe studio ? Are they small and are all three beds in the same room? We are wondering if it would be worth the £220 to upgrade to a one bedroom apartment ?

Yes all three beds are in the same room

Think you'll be lucky to get an upgrade as the place is sold out.

Hi Ellsbells,

I'm in two minds whether to take my laptop with me. Can you tell me if the safe is big enough to put a laptop in as I won't take it if I can't lock it up.

Thanks - enjoy the rest of your holiday.

Many Thanks Ellesbells, we have emailed out to the Aliathon and they have said we can only upgrade once we are there if a one bedroom is available, we fly out on the 17th August so will wait and see.

Are you in a studio ? Do you know if they are small, there only three of us, our daughters 10. We had a studio last year in Rhodes and the bedroom divided off with sliding doors and it was huge so ideal.

:cheers

Hi Jessie regarding your laptop, the safe is actually quite wide and our laptop fits perfect.

Pete regarding the studios i am not sure how big they are sorry.

:) 10 sleeps until we go, 13th august from Cardiff and we can't wait.

Ells bells - what time do you have to put towels out to ensure you get a parasol, last year in HV Turkey it was about 5.30am!!!!!

What are the mozzies like, again in Turkey we got eaten alive.

Agree Baldman, its all about doing something special and enjoying being with the kids on holiday.
Good to see all the positive reviews! :cheers

I think I remember someone saying the plugs aren't a problem and they are 3 pin, can anyone remember for sure??

Hello,

I'm new by the way! Hello all.

I am staying in a Standard 1 Bed Apartment. I am assuming that it will be in the older section? Do they provide Towels for the 'budget' accomodation as well?

For those of you that are travelling soon. Have a great time! :fly

P.S. Any chance that the weather will be hotter than 25 degrees in May ?????

Yes the plugs are three pin
We were in the old section and towels were provided
Sunbeds with parasols. We went the two weeks before the school holidays and we put our towels down about 7ish, but it was starting to get very very busy and people were putting them out before they went to bed. Good luck as there were not many parasols

We didn't get any mozzie bites between our party of 12, however some people did have them. We usually get a few bites on hols.

We got bitten to death at the HV Turkey last year too, they were horrendous there weren't they!

Can anyone give me a rough guide of what it costs to eat in the Restaurants in the Village. I know Cyprus is expensive! Just want a rough idea so I know how much money to take.

Cheers!

yes they were bad last year, we even took little things to burn on the tables!!!

Did you enjoy Turkey, we thought it was fab but didn 't enjoy the way the evening entertainment was set up, we prefer it all being
in one area, like the costa del sol (by the way anyone thinking of going to hv Costa del sol its absolutely fantastic)

looks like no lie ins again then (unless we put towels out before bed)

re: towels just do what i do go down throw the towels off the beds cos most people that reserve beds dont even appear until after 3 pm

Aye, we had some citrus spray stuff in the HV Turkey which did the trick, those mozzies were evil evil evil..........we enjoyed it there but much preferred the HV Cyprus. More compact!

Re the restaurants in and around the village, we ate in the Mari Monti Italian out the front and it was superb, fab service, beautiful food and only cost £40 for a 3 course meal for 2 with a nice bottle of pinot. Marvellous! The First Choice reps in the creche reckoned the Indian restaurant was really nice and that they'd been a few times there. I found the Wild Horse pub to be quite pricey for drinks, but then the Aliathon is pricey for drinks if you aren't AI in my opinion.

You can get a discount voucher for the other restaurants around the complex which gives 10% off, ask at reception.

The general consensus seems to be that Cyprus is pretty expensive judging by the people's opinions that I spoke to when we were there.
