No Fiona, I've seen it offered but not sure if I'd benefit
I've had 3 free trials over the years, and how good the service is seems to depend a bit on where you live. My most recent experience was great. But when I was living in Birmingham the service was dire - far worse than the standard service I got from them there, to the extent that I phoned them up and complained. (I know it was a free trial, but as that is clearly a promotion aimed at getting people to subscribe, you would think they'd want to provide a good service to encourage people to part with their money).
I've noticed that they've now extended Prime to include video streaming. I had a look at this on my last trial, though I didn't get the time to use it. You have to download / install a program (I think it was called Silverlight or something similar) and then you can either buy, rent or watch now from a wide range of movies and TV series.

We used to have Netflix but I kept forgetting we had it. But OH now thinks he wants to try it again. However, it may be that the free videos are worth it. He also often orders through Amazon so will see what we make of the free trial.
