Thanyou pippy lots to do not enough time but who's to say we may like it enough to go back, must say the pictures look wonderful, just packing my case, looking forward to it now i know what to expect.
The butterfly park is nice, but isn`t very big, so won`t take up a whole day. We enjoyed a trip to Llanfairpg (for short),we went on the station platform for the usual picture of the station signpost, and there`s a nice shopping complex there as well, with quite a good cafe, and parking`s free.
We will write a letter of complaint and send it off, will put it on the hotel review hopefully make people aware of what they are letting them selves into.Certainly not worth the money.
Apart from that sad experience we travelled round and about and enjoyed the rest of the weekend.
Sleep r us, I`m sorry your hotel wasn`t up to scratch, but I hope it won`t put you off going back to Anglesey again, it`s a lovely place, with smashing people. We wouldn`t have accommodation problems like that, as we would be in our own touring caravan. We haven`t actually stayed on Anglesey as yet, but have visited several times whilst holidaying in North Wales, and we are on the lookout for a nice caravan site there, near the sea.
Sorry i only joined the forums today and saw this thread about Anglesey.
Well i live here. I could of helped you further.
Please dont let where you stayed put you off, There are plenty of other hotels around. Dont think that hotel was in Anglesey was it?
You might find a nice B&B next time a little more homely for you. And you can easly travel off Anglesey in 25 min these days, If you dont catch the irish trafic from the boats that is
Snowdonia is only 45 min away, Caernarfon castle about 35 min away.
Nice golf courses. and plenty more to do and see.
Awesome places to eat to.
If you come down again one day. PM me
Hi Paul+3, you probably saw that we are looking for a nice touring caravan site by the sea on Anglesey. The last time we were there, we saw a site at Rhosneigr, overlooking the sea, with a fantastic view of planes taking off from RAF Valley, and we rather fancy a few days therfe, but we foolishly forgot to make a note of the site`s name. I wonder if you`ll know which site I`m on about? Hoping you can help.
I think i can help!
There is 4 caravan and camping park around Rhosneigr Anglesey. But i think the one you are looking for is right over the road to RAF Valley runway and the Golf Club. Its called SHORESIDE CARAVAN & CAMPING PARK. Their no is 01407 810279 and they are open from easter.
Loads to do there as well. You have watersports, golf, green bowling, tennis. and awesome walks and a lovely beach.
Hope that helps a little.
Paul+3, thank you very much for your help, that does sound like the one, I`ll get in touch and ask for a brochure and see. Once again, thank you, it`s good having someone on the spot to ask about these things.
