It's ok Debbie lol.

I've read some bad reviews about on the beach on this site. They rip people off apparently, although the deals they have are very tempting :tongue

Thank you everyone.

hi Becca, we are going to Santa Ponsa in July and we are staying at Golf Beach Hotel. Its only a 2* but supposed to be very central, right near the beach and it only has 36 rooms so not going to be overcrowded. We booked our hotel with travel republic and flights with easy jet. Might be worth a look..

Thanks all...but we've decided to splash out and treat ourselves to the Hisperia Playas de Mallorca Hotel :D

Only a few weeks to go until sun, sea and sand! :sun2

Next Q...anyone know of cheap flights to Majorca? (we're really new to this)

hi becca, have you tried http://www.ryanair.com ? you didn't say what dates you were going so i put in 5th july - 19th july from stansted, and it was coming up at £155.58 (£77.79 each) including taxes but not luggage costs. that sounds pretty good to me. Basically you have to try all the airlines individually, or use a comparison site like http://www.travelsupermarket.com. good luck with it.
have you booked the hesperia playas de mallorca yet? we stayed there 5 years ago, and it was a lovely clean hotel. the entertainment wasn't up too much, but we went out every evening and had a great time in santa ponsa. there are so many places to have a drink. We didn't go much on the food although there was always something we could find to eat. things could have changed in that time for the better though, so take what i say with a pinch of salt. the only thing that really got on my nerves there was the fact that if there are only two of you, you cannot sit at a table laid for 4 if there wasn't a two seater available and we were "told off" a couple of times and had to wait.
If you can't get booked in there, take a look at the hotel rey don jaime which is the next hotel up the side road, that looked like a nice hotel too.- dotty

Hi dotty,

We tried Ryan Air, got flights for £67 each i think for our dates (6th july-16th)...thought it was excellent! But when we looked into it a bit further, we discovered we would have to pay an extra £70 for baggage and check in costs!!! mad!! :yikes Thanks for your advice on Hisperia Playas De Mallorca...although it will be very annoying if we have to wait for a table. :think We had a look at rey don jaime, but it wasn't that much cheaper than the Playas de Mallorca and we already love the hisperia hotel :)

We've found EasyJet flights for 85each, that sounds ok...although I'm not sure if we'll be faced with any extra costs at the airport.
