Antalya Airport

I have passed through Antalya airport on many occassions. I can not compare it to Dalman as I ahve never been there. On the whole Antalya is well run and quite organised. Yes there is a queue to obtain your visa but I have never waited more than 20 max of 30 minutes (travelling in August). By the time you have got you visa and had your passport stamped the luggage always seems to be just a short wait. On average in the past it has taken about 60 to 90 minutes from getting off the plane to getting out of the airport doors.

Beware though when you leave Antalya it is very expensive. A Burger King for one is nearly £10 from memeory and a slice of pizza was about £5.

Enjoy your holiday

antalya airport is much bigger and more modern than Dalaman.
its an international airport...it also has two terminals...one for internal flights...the place is very well run.
and as already said is very expensive...i wouldn't eat there...but i think thats true of all airports...

It`s much nicer than dalaman with much better shops!

Sounds great - what about the Duty Free prices? Better to buy in resort at local prices, at the airport, or on the plane?
I'll be at there in 13 sleeps and so so excited. Just have to make sure that the kids don't have a burger king while waiting for the coach!

mrsgaz the duty free in antalya is good and the airport clearance much quicker than Dalaman but like others have said prices in the cafes are v expensive. there are now two international terminals and the domestic. On the whole one of the better airports I have been through but doesent match DUBAİ

cheers bryn! Not been through Dubai airport now that the palace is 'in'. Went there regularly when I was young and it was a nissen hut!
Antalya Airport sounds good enough for us this year! Now just the decisions of what to treat myself to in the airport...

Great airport. Smallish but very efficient. We sailed through passport control and collected our luggage in no time at all.

But the food is very expensive. And don't forget your Euros for the duty free (but lira for the cafes!)

been through antalya airport four times now ,no problems a at all ,very well run airport , the duty free shops take any currency .

yeah of course like most aerports they will take most currencies (which wa great as it cleared up US Dollars, Lira and Euros). Just that most shops priced in euros but may not be quote so attractive using their exchange rates to GBP or Lira ( but in the greater scheme of things if spending lots then do not miss out on little). We just like Euros at airport as that was what was marked and all was clear.

All of the earlier posts are correct.

Easy to get to and from. Plenty of parking.

Prices for food and drink are the same as all airports," obscene".
