Hi All, we are looking to do a two centre holiday at either the Le Grand Courlan Spa Resort, Tobago and then the second week in the Jolly Beach Resort, Antigua.
Or The Rex Grenadian, Grenada and then the second week in the Jolly Beach Resort, Antigua.
I am particularly interested in if there is any snorkelling off the beaches, and if the local diving is up to much.
My wife however would like to know about the evening entrainment at the hotels, and if she can sunbathe topless.
Apparently the diving and snorkelling at Le Grand Courlan Spa Resort, Tobago is meant to be good, but the hotel is not brilliant, can anyone confirm or deny this?
All information gratefully received!

Have been to Tobago and Antigua and enjoyed both holidays. Can't tell you anything about Le Grand Courlan as we stayed at Coco Reef but we have stayed at Jolly Beach and in fact I have just posted a review on Jolly Beach. Haven't been to Grenada. Tobago was fantastic for snorkelling but in Antigua there was none to be had. Topless sunbathing is not really acceptable in any of these places and is the exception rather than the rule. Personally although I will go topless in Europe I do keep my top on in the Caribbean. Hubby is always topless Any questions just ask
Antigua was also beautiful but my opinion is biased; we stayed in an all inclusive hotel which really wasn't our cup of tea, so we don't have as fond memories.
We saw the odd topless sunbather in Antigua but it was pretty out of place to be honest and not appropriate in the hotel we were in.
So if it's things such as entertainment within the hotels etc that you are looking for, I'd say Antigua and Tobago would be better.
lucky you , whichever you choose you will be in heaven.
The artificial reef/wreck dive "The Maverick" is literally on the house reef of the Courlan, and is one of the better housereefs in the Caribbean. Unfortunately Caribbean diving in our eyes doesn't quite match up to places like the Maldives, Red Sea etc, as coral life is not as prolific and vis can be quite poor. (That was a fairly big factor in Tobago as it gets outflow from the Orinoco - great for pelagic fish life and not so great for photography as the water is definitely milky - average vis during our trip was 15-20m). The north side of Tobago is FANTASTIC for diving - the Speyside area - and Adventure ECO Divers did take us up for the day overland (long day but very much worth it). If we were to return to Tobago we'd definitely head up to that area for diving in preference to the south of the island.
We did see Hammerheads (Sisters Rocks), turtles (of course) and some large jewfish and groupers - Mt Irvine Wall is a good night dive site as well.
We've dived The Bahamas, Tobago, Aruba, BVI, Dominican Republic etc but not Grenada or Antigua, so can't help there - but pm me if we can help any further.
