Hi
I've been looking online at ordering currency and travelex appear to have good rates, has anybody used them to buy their holiday money? If you have was the service easy to use or more trouble than its worth.
Off to Tenerife again on 4th Oct so want to get it ordered soon.
I normally just order form my bank but dont always get the best rate.
Any advice would be great.
Thanks
I allways get mine from Marks and Spencers, nobody is able to beat that
anywhere else in Milton Keynes.

Yes i've used Travelex quite a number of times and will be doing again in November I've had great service and always had a far better rate than the high street travel agents and banks. Ordering on line only takes a few minutes and you get an e mail confirmation which you need to show when collecting the currency along with your passport and the card with which you've purchased the currency with, you can even state whether you want the currency in small or large denominations or mixed. I've always collected my currency from Leeds/Bradford and never had any wait, but my boss has collected his at Manchester which is obviously a lot busier airport and he's had to queue. The rate you get on line is a lot better than the rate you get if you just purchase on spec at the airport.
Just had a look their rates are virtually the same as travelex but rather than collecting at the airport they deliver to me much easier.
I'll definately been ordering from them. Having looked around the rate they offer is almost 3 cents better than most other places.
Thanks again.

My pc is messing around whilst I was replying to Davyboy you posted your message.
Travelex is very tempting but we fly from Gatwick so could take us a while to pick up. So I'll probably be ordering from Marks and Spencers which I think for me will be easier.
Thanks for your help anyway,I'm very grateful.

Hi NikkiB .... as your enquiry is not directly relevant to Tenerife, you may be better having a browse through this thread in our General Holiday Enquiries forum ...
Thanks I did have a quick look through earlier,
This year I got my sterling travellers cheques from Tesco. If you order more than £500's worth it's post & package free with next day delivery.
Chillout
Have looked at Tesco Sainsbury etc and Davyboy is right Marks and spencers beat all of them. They also do next day free delivery and no commission.
Thanks anyway.

I'm going to close this thread as NikkiB has had her reply and there is another on the exchange rates running in the forum.
