Hiya we arrived back on Sunday,

The prices are pretty much the same as here, many bars are advertising that they have held their prices from last year though. Comparing prices as to what I paid for things a few years ago I found Alcudia to be quite an expensive resort.

Hi,
You will be quite surprised at the prices, shop around and you will get some great meals, try and go where there is a menu of the day as that is normally about 10€ pp and includes 3 plates water and wine (lunchtime)
However depending on where you are staying you will will find some great restaurants.

One of my favourites is the Tivoli Terrace in the Bellevue road, it is right opposite the bellevue complex by the chemist and has a band on singing at night but also a small childrens playground at the very bottom where kids can play quite safely. The food is fab and the pizzas are amazing as well as the kebabs sticks. Cheap and friendly, you can't go wrong.

Another brillant restaurant is "La Villa" in the port, this is a chinease in front of the taxi rank and it really is the best, not the cheapest in town but I would recommend it.
There is a lad called John who has worked there for 6 years and knows the menu like the chefs!

Returned from alcudia on saturday. Comes as a bit of a shock when the prices are almost the same as sterling. I compared euro with pound as usual and there wasn't a lot of difference. Some bars do local beer at 1.50 euros but you get what you pay for. Had a nice meal in Champions bar, along from colber supermarket.Prices quite reasonable.Beware though, champions only take cash, no cards. We were staying at bellevue and we either ate at Drunken corner or Don pedros, their prices for drinks and food was ok.We were going to buy the grand kids a big ice cream at the bar by the lake but they wanted almost 7 euros, nearly £7 no thanks!!!New beach bar ( where you get off the boat) has reasonable prices, very clean and friendly.
Hope they have a good time :cheers :sun2
