As I said I have emailed the new people but they havent replied.
I got more info off Fiesta than the new people.
I know the Don Toni seems closer to town but it is still fine as far as Ive been advised by people who go every year.
IT would have been our 3rd time at the Bahamas and we are also meeting up with people from last year, we have all rebooked to the Don Toni.
There's a lady on here who has visited both hotels and now prefers the DOn Toni so I'm looking forward to it now.
When are you going??
I have sent you a PM by the way
Hi All,I received an e-mail from the owner of Club Bahamas,he has redecorated reception, restaurant and bar, there will be entertainment and Fiestaland will be available for use, free of charge, for 2008.Hope this helps anybody who has booked as Thomsons don't seem to know very much and told us that Fiesta are selling hotels without giving them much notice,so advised us not to change our booking as the same could happen again. We will submit a review on our return in June.
I have just booked the bahamas for my sister and our two children 7 and 15 for August emailed hotel first to ensure upgrade to all inclusive is still available and it is they have given me all the costings for drinks only and food and drink option,
I have never stayed at the Bahamas but have stayed 8 or 9 times at the club Don Toni (Would have gone back there but Thomson Accomodation only at Don toni was £1900 for 1 room half board and Bahamas was £900 !!!, Done our flights seperatley (still on Thomson )saved £500 doing this, if we put the accomodation as a package same flights times dates etc it was £2058.
Our total cost was £1500!!
Anyway what I am asking please can anyone recommend a nice room or at least block, we would like the sun late afternoon/evening and if anyone knows the Don Toni rooms on the ground floor (where the Bathroom seperates the bedrooms/lounge has the Bahamas got these?
Hope it makes sense x
The rooms at Bahamas are a decent size,we always stay in block 6000,ground floor, the rooms are very dark at night because they have shutters,we go with friends and they always book the same room,it's either 6009or6006,I think it is the best room because there is a largeish patio that gets the sun til late,we always congregate there around six for drinks before we shower for dinner. The layoutof these rooms is quite good too,as you enter there are 2 sofabeds, coffee table, dressing table and tv,then the furniture, wardrobe and drawers act as a room divider ,twin beds with fan over and then the bathroom,so there is a small amount of privacy which I like as we have a 14yr old son.
Can you please post the prices for drink and all-inclusive options,it will save me e-mailing again if there is anything you would like to know, just ask.
Thankyou so much for that info!! I was worried about security on the ground floor but as they have shutters it may be more secure I know at the Don Toni the rooms on the ground were the biggest, as long as the room is not to near the beach end, they sound good is the pool directley in front.
here is the email from them regarding prices dont seem bad at all, cant wait to go !!now

Thanks for information,we usually just have drinks.
The rooms I told you about are very near the pool,we find that being so close we can use our own toilet, much nicer than using public ones, there isn't any air con, though, you can upgrade but we don't as we always go in May,the shutters seem to make the room cooler too.If you want to see the rooms just visit Thomsons website.
when looking at the photo of the pool, block 6000 is on left side,at the top.
Just checked photos, they are different to last year, room shown is upstairs, block 6000 is near baby pool, room 6009 is more or less behind where the trees are.Sorry for confusing you.
Checked with my friends ,the room we always use as a drinks terrace, sunny until late is 6009,my friends request this room every year,it's close to the kiddies pool and has sun loungers right outside,we all congregate there all the time.
