I can't help with the hotel as we have no reviews for it yet. Keep checking here though as it has just been added and hopefully someone will review it for us.
As for October, when we decided to go to one of the islands for our October break we found that Crete or Rhodes were the best bets for weather. They were very similar. We actually chose Rhodes and found it was lovely during the day- ideal sunbathing weather, you weren't soaked of sweat within minutes of cooling down in the pool! That is the norm but you would need a cardi or something for evening as it does cool down quite a lot.
