Well ive just jumpd in head first to a holiday in Bitez and I must admit dont really have a clue what the place is like Lmao!!
Im staying in the Sirca Apartments and I cant waitttt in July!!
So what are the :
- Shops like, do they sell like all the genuine fakes lol
- Do the bars play loud music or no music?
- Watersports?
- Should I cancel now and book faliraki??!
No seriously I know its quiet so just yeah any info! ta
There aren't that many bars and they do play music but not really loud, although I haven't been for a while so there could be a loud place, there was one a few years back but that closed. If you fancy a night out with loud music then Gumbet is just 10 minutes away by taxi and there are lots of bars there, some open til 5am
I think there are watersports but I'm not sure exactly what.
I haven't stayed at Sirca but they look nice.
I love Bitez, it is quiet, yes, but not really, really quiet. There are lots of lovely restaurants and everything is set long the beach so no traffic going past. You are close to Bodrum and Gumbet for shopping and nights out if you want and I'm sure you will have a lovely time.

we visited bitez for the day this year and found it extremely expensive compared to all other resorts we go to, hair dressers was over double i usually pay, restaurants etc seemed a lot higher than we usually pay , sea was very stoney to get in so beach shoes are needed otherwise its fine, but bitez wasnt as i expected it to be after hearing such great reviews, but im sure you will have a good time , just spend wisely unless you arent on any budget then you will be fine
A nice little town about 18 km from bitez
yalikavak is now also "discovered" so it is changing soon.
But in this area you could find some nice sandy beaches
have fun in bitez!

we also went to yalikavak and again we saw no sandy beaches , mainly shingly and stoney getting in the sea, although the prices were lower in restaurants and had a lovely meal in the 3 brothers restaurant on the beach front. its not as scenic as bitez or turgutreis .we were based in turgutreis and travelled around a lot , although turgutreis is lovely the beach again is stoney, which is a shame as my daughter wouldnt go in the sea for the rocks
Good choice, the Sirca apts are really good.
Clean, well fitted out and almost new. I think that all apartments have a pool view from a good sized bacony or terrace
We had a look around them a couple of weeks ago and we were going to book them ourselves.
However we thought that they were a bit expensive so booked the hotel we have previousley used instead.
You will be far enough away from any bars to be quiet on an evening if thats what you want , I got the impression that the pool bar there could be good on an evening for drinks and conversation.
The food at the Sirca restaurant is also pretty good.
The apartments are far enough out to be quiet but only 4-5 minutes walk to the beach
watersports..... there are the usual inflatables towed behind speedboats etc, paracsending and wind surfing that I know of. Maybe some diving, I think I have seen scuba advertised there.
There is a small market selling the usual stuff in Bitez but a lot more choice in Bodrum which is a 10 min Dolmus ride away, costing 2.5 tlr each and the Dolmus' are usually empty by the Sirca.
You WILL enjoy!!
Will definetly have to venture into gumbet or bodrum on a night seen aslthough were a party of party animals
Cant wait now
I feel aslthough im back to square 1
oh thanks for your replies
