Below is a list of flight arrivals for Sunday 6th July.
Up until last week Glasgow - Varna flight was listed
but has now vanished, in fact their are no Balkan Holiday flights listed.
I have phoned Balkan this morning only to be told as usual that they have
no word of flight changes.
We have travelled for 6yrs with Balkan I have always found out of changes before I or the travel agent has been informed, much to Balkan's annoyance, but as it is Varna area we want to go from Scotland we have no choice but to fly with this keystone cops airline.
They really do my head in.

Ref Balkan flights. There is a flight from Glasgow going to Bourgas landing at 23.20 on the 6th July flight No. BGH 5556, are they going to do as they did last year and Bus people up to the north of the Country. Anybody travelling out of Gatwick to Varna on the Friday's BGH flight throughout the season. please note this will not operate again this season, you are being shipped onto Bulgaria Air flights, spread over the Mon. That is 100% strike rate for the last 5 years with Balkan Holidays I have opn changes to my holiday & knowing before the travel agent all Glasgow flights shall now be going to Bourgas whch I have been informed has a 1hr 30 min transfer time ( aye right).
Balkan Holidays really are the scum of the earth.
Over the last 5 years
Prestwick flights changed to Manchester.
Hotel not fully finished.
Hotel double Booked.
Date of holiday changed due to flights being cancelled.

DOA, yes they are really carrying on from last year. I have gleaned the following changes, that I doubt travellers do not know about yet.

Difficult to say, especially without dates - it probably depends whether Balkan have filled the flight in Bristol or whether thay have to combine it with another airport for commercial reasons.
I have had flights from/to Varna from Cardiff combined with Belfast flights twice in the past (2004/2005). There's nothing like sitting on the tarmac in Belfast for an hour or so, waiting to fly back to Cardiff {which you passed en route from Bulgaria to Belfast
}All flights this year, from both Bristol & Cardiff, are flying into (and returning from) Burgas - with a long each way bus transfer from there to/from the Northern coastal resorts for anyone has booked for Golden Sands, Albena, Sveti Konstantin, etc.

My parents are flying in June from Bristol, Fortunately they are going to Sunny Beach so Bourgas should be ok.
I have been toying with booking a September holiday to Bulgaria. Balkan do have much better flight times from Bristol than the other operators (which land in Bulgaria at 4:00 am!) however it would be nice to have some confidence that we won't have our flight times changed or end up going vie an additional airport.
Presumably that depends on just how popular September flights are from Bristol?

Like doa i live in scotland but used to be lucky as either edinburgh or newcastle did us .we are flying from newcastle in july but have heard nothing either June

Newcastle flights for July & August look OK so far, but 4 of the June flights are routed to Burgas via Aberdeen & 3 return flights to Aberdeen via Newcastle.

June are you going to see Maria the eye specialist I know my wife is going back for more glasses this July.
yes doa that will be the first place we go when we arrive .my brother and sister inlaw is also going to .I still meet a lot of people who i sent to her and like us go back every year .she is really good and so is her husband
