Hi everyone,
We are off the the atlantica pricess in ixia in a few weeks and was after a bit of information. We have already paid for late check out through first choice which i think is until 6pm, our flight isnt until about 2am in the morning and ive heard that there is no where to store your luggage. Is this true? Do we have to eat our dinner sat on our suitcases?
Has anyone stayed in one of the select rooms? We have booked one of these and were wondering what they were like and if they are in the main building?
Is there an agent near the hotel to book excursions? We dont want to pay tour op prices!
And finally, if anyone has got any advice on things to do and things not to miss please let us know!
Thanks all for your help.
They probably mean there's no secure, luggage store room. With so many people on night flights there is always somewhere to leave your luggage and when i worked there it was the lobby/reception area.
Don't know the select rooms as the place has had a refurb since i was there but should be good as standards have always been high.
Don't know of any agents in Ixia but plenty in Rhodes Town and you can book boat trips directly at Mandraki Harbour.
Places you might want to visit are Filerimos (a short taxi ride from the Atlantica Princess), Rhodes Town, Lindos, Ancient Kamiros, Petaloudes/Valley of Butterflies and Seven Springs. Hire a car for a few days and you've even more options.
cheers jeppo
Have just returned from one week all inclusive at Atlantica Princess Rhodes. This is a fabulous hotel with very friendly staff and execellent food.Definately worth going all inclusive because once there no need to count the cost of snacks and drinks etc. Even though we left the complex on three days still felt we had exellent value for money. Well worth hiring a car and this can be arranged from the hotel lobby at very competetive rates.
once again cheers jeppo
I am going to atlantica princess, self catering in july with first choice holidays.
If anyone has been there could you please tell me what the garden annexes are like that are accross the road thanks[/b]
My parents stayed in one of these when they visited me on the island. I knew the hotel and staff well and requested that they got one of the garden annexes. Quite cute little 2 storey buildings with private terrace. Across the road from the main building and pool but the road isn't overly busy.
hello has anyone got or know where i can find photos of the atlantica princess and its surrounding area??
http://www.atlanticahotels.com/ and click on 'Atlantica Princess' - plenty of information and pics on there.
If you click onto 'Accommodation' the picture at the top of this changes regularly to show a few different types of room. The carpeted rooms are in the main building and the room with the tiled floor and glass door onto a garden terrace is the type you've booked.

will i definetly be in this room because other self catering people have been in a two floor room with 2 balconies??
Some of the garden annexes are two storey, some single but i wouldn't say they were two star at all - i booked my parents in there as i preferered them to the rooms in the main bulding.

Just wondering if there are any tea/coffee making facilities etc. We're booked in a family room, all inclusive with First Choice. We like to be able to brew up first thing before going to breakfast. We travel on Wednesday.Does anyone have experience of Family rooms??
Am staying at the Atlantica in July of this Year.
Due to the face that this hotel is approximatly 4KM from Rhodes Airport i would of thought there would be lots of low flying aircraft and noise, and maybe this reflects the fairly low prices..
Please post your opinions
Thankss

We have lots of reviews David
Yes there is some aircraft noise in Ixia (i think they mention it in most brochures) but it's not over intrusive. Kremasti and Paradissi suffer much more as they're closest to the runway.
hi am staying at atlantica princess on 13th july 05, just wondered if there is any aircraft noise there, if so how bad????
It's a good place to stay, one of the better choices in Ixia - i'm sure you'll have a great time
1. We are a family (of 5) - 2 boys (11 & 13) - is there much activity/entertainment during the day for them other than the Waveclub?
They love waterpolo - do they have this? Where there many children there?
2. My daughter will be 3 - does anyone know anything about the Kids Clubs (Bugs Bunny)?
3. Are there any family activities during the day - we went Thomson Superfamily 2 years ago & the activites were fantastic - eg quizes round the pool, volley ball etc?
Do they have a football/volley ball courts etc?
Is there anything else we should know about - car hire, food etc?
Thanks you
Nickie
My husband and 2 children are staying here in august, can men wear three quarter length pants for the evening meal? What trips do you recomend my daughters are 5 and 13? Where there a lot of mozzies at night?
