I wish to use an avatar I've got from the internet. The original image was 96x96 pixels but I've chosen it in 80x80 to meet the rules of HT. The problem is that the website I got it from says I have to save it to my computer and then upload it to use it on forums. How do i do this. The avatar is saved in my pictures but I can't see how to get it onto HT. The only place my PC will let me publish it is to things like MSN groups. I don't use MSN as there's too many viruses and corruptions on it. AVG anti virus will find and remove viruses but not anything corrupted. Learnt that the hard way. I try to put the URL into the box on edit avatar in my profile and it says the URL is invalid even when I use the URL for the resize. Surely we're allowed to use our own pictures or pictures we've got from the internet and which say we can use them as avatars. My pc is running XP Home Edition service pack 2.

Problem with signature is when I tried to make one, it says that I'm not authorized to have a signature. I've been a member since May 04. If I do get a signature, it won't be anything offensive.
