There are reviews for the Babalu Apartments HERE. Was going to book the Babalu myself for next Easter, due to good location near the Europa Centre and good reports (and a good price with Travel Republic), but have now decided to go back to Fuerteventura instead. However, I would definitely consider the Babalu Apartments for a future holiday.

Hi there,

We are just back from babalu, they do have a 24 hour reception our plane was delayed on the way over and got to babalu about 2 o'clock in the morning and the reception was open. We had no problems at all with babalu, would go back.

We go to the Babalu apts 3 times a year and love it. We have probably been every season over the past 12 years. The babalu is situated in a fantastic position with sea views and the europa centre is a spit throw away. Now the babalu is not the most appealing of the apartments in the surrounding area but it is clean, it just needs a bit of updating. Be sure to take a kettle and toaster with you as it costs a fortune to hire these things. The Europa centre is not tooooo bad, it would be better if they pulled it down and started again but there is a few fantastic restaurants and bars. The best bar in the centre is the Biblos, its on the ground floor just a little down from Netto supermarket, on the corner ( ladies its got the cleanest toilets in the whole of Gran Canaria.J). If you want cheap beer up til 9pm, go to Xtreems, its 2 pints for 3 euroes, Russ is the DJ there and he is great Its just behind the Biblos. For all you familys out there try the Barbacoa, it has turns on every night and you can also get food. We never go because its not our cup of tea but for familys its pretty good. Now for the eats- El Brasa on the top floor(above the biblos music bar) is a little on the expensive side but you will not be dissapointed, Rasheed is the owner and he will make sure that your meal is fab.Valentinos is another great restauraunt, thats on the top floor, downstairs there is the best restauraunt in the world, but would you believe as im writing this i cannot remember its name, its opposite the Nettos, there is a perfume shop on the corner, and the restauraunt is next to it. ITS FANTASTIC AND QUITE CHEAP. Downstairs is the comercial center, im not a lover of this place, its ok for the 18-30 but its full of people trying to get you into their bars or eateries. The bottom floor is just shops(mostly tat shops) and the top floor is the bars and restaurants.
Anyone going to the Babalu will have a great time and im so jealous, im off to Lanzarote in September but will be back at the Babalu for two weeks in December. ENJOY. PS. Thanks Wizard HT Mod for looking. I will continue to fax and phone them
