It's not a stupid question at all.

It's a long time since I had to do that, but even though we were told the water was ok to drink, we always
boiled bottled water for our little 'uns bottles.

You can't be too careful, especially with the high mineral content in the tap water.

Have a lovely holiday! :fly

I have always used mineral water ;) , don't really no whether their water is safe even when boiled, sure someone on here will soon give you the answer, also what age is baby I was once told you should'nt give mineral water to babys under 6 months!!!!, no can't see how it can be much different from our tap water :que .

I think it's best to buy the bottled water with the lowest sodium content. Might be a good idea to ring the Nurse at your local doctors surgery or do a search on NHS Direct etc. I once spoke to someone who was very helpful on all aspects of taking babies abroad and I think she was at NHS Direct.

Definitely use bottled water. Although the tap water is probably safe to drink it probably has a very high mineral content that could upset your baby's tummy as she wont be used to it.

Hi

We took our 18 month old to Costa Del Sol last year and she still had baby milk and we were told Evian water was the safest for little ones as it had a low mineral count. We still boiled it too.

Hope you have a lovely holiday.

What a good idea - I wish I'd thought of that when I took my youngest away

Actually you should add it into the "what a good idea" thread!
