hi, all got back this morning, and its so cold here, the temps out there were in the 30s ,it was just beutifull, the prices in the resort were as follows, large beer, efes 2.50tl -4.00tl , the exchange rate was up and down when we arived it was 2.55. but it did go down to 2.42 at one stage, but made a small come back on sunday, to 2.45, now we have been going to hisaronu for the last 9 years, and have noticed the increases, in prices, the meals in the resturants are nearly as dear as england, we had an indian meal, rogan josh, meat birinai ,two popudoms
one nan bread, and one pilua rice, plus two beers and that came out at £24. while last year we paid £19, for exatly the same, you could get some cheap meals, but you seem to pay for what you get,the resort was quiet .but all in all we had a fab time, except for the first day ,as i had to get the doctor out to my wife who had a mossie bite just under her eye,but this was gotten in england, not in turkey, the whole side of her face came right up,and the total cost was £100, including the drugs and injection,i know i can claim half of that back, but this is just a warning ,so make sure you have got insurance as the costs can spiral , any one wanting any more info, just fire away, oh, just remembered watch the wheight of your suit case at dalaman on your return as they are very hot on this, they were fining evrey one that was over, alan, jill, southampton
Hi there! Glad you enjoyed your holiday. Its nice to know that its nice sunny & warm over there. We fly out on Thursday night with first choice, and we are staying at the St. Nicholas Gardens. Been so looking forward to this for ages!Got all our Mossie stuff but the Midgies have been wild here this year!
Dont know how much you pay for an Indian here, but where we live it would cost you at least £30 - £35 for a decent Indian for two.
to eat turkish is so much cheaper and very healthy so next time go out the tourist area and try some real turkish food its really cheap
Prices all depend on where you want to eat and drink, obviously the fancier the restaurant / bar, the fancier the prices are.
Try eating at a typical turkish restaurant in Fethiye, you would be amazed at the difference in prices, You can always tell a proper turkish restaurant even before you go in, ( just look for the jugs of water on the tables, they are free )
