First year we stayed in a small hotel called La Luna Blanca, owned by a Japanese couple, which was brilliant. Couldn't do enough for you and spotlessly clean too.
This year we stayed at Plazamar Apartments, which were excellent value for money. We paid £160 for four nights in June. Excellently situated, rooms overlooking the beach and the rooms at the back overlooking the Casa Juan Square.
Sanji is so right - this place is an addiction, and we don't need any medication - thank you very much!!!
We'll be returning next year without a doubt.
Must add that we wouldn't have known anything about this place if it had not been for Sanji and all the information she passed on to us. She's a star, thank you Sanji. The sad thing is, we were out there at the same time and hadn't realised it until we returned, would loved to have met up for a drink, maybe next time.
Happy holidays to everyone who still have theirs to look forward to.
Best Regards
Elaine
Well I've been persuaded too & dragged away from the Algarve. Going next June/July
We are going next July too Glynis.(first two weeks)..normally we go around the middle of June, but I couldn't get the apartment.
Dave says it's all my fault and I've got to stop talking about La Carihuela in here.
If you haven't already done so, click on the banner on the main page and take a look at HT TV.
There's a few video's over there that I've made from my last visit, but I didn't take the camcorder, so, I've just made a video out of the photos...... all the other videos are in the process of being taken over from the video library.
When HT TV was in the Beta/soft version I wrote a blog about my holiday, it was just to test the system and iron out any bugs before it went "live" and I've been persuaded by someone (no names, but he may drive a van) to make it public ....I think it's boring and it could have been a lot better if I'd gone visiting other places apart from Torremolinos....if you want to read it, click on Blogs over in HT TV.
I made this one yesterday.....

If my memory serves me well, I'm pretty confident this apartment (looking at the owners link) is in the complex called Residencial Dalàand there are a couple of gates into the grounds, depending which block you stay in
Hi Jo.
This video is nothing special, we passed nearly every day and the security is pretty tight into this complex.
I was trying to poke the camcorder lens through the gaps in the wall, when a bloke came out and he can't have seen the camcorder, and he thought I was wanting to come in, so he left the gate open for me.
You mentioned to me that you are in block 4.?....Block 4 entrance is on Calle Salvador Allende and just a stone's throw away from the front main entrance of the hotel Pez Espada, and the white building in the video is indeed the annexe of the Pez.
Sorry I couldn't stay any longer and film in detail.....I had Dave hanging about twiddling his thumbs stood on the pavement outside .....and if I had thought about it, silly me could have gone into the hotel and filmed from one of the windows in the annexe.
I hope this will be of some help to you.

Great undercover filming
Thanks again
Jo xx
No problem, it wasn't out of my way, but I don't know where my brains were.:duh
I obviously wasn't thinking straight with all those S's I was getting.
I think this last trip is all videod out now.
Thanks for this series of videos. I won't be able to add to them when we're there as the only camcorder we have is an old one that youngest had for Xmas years ago and although it was small at the time, it's positively huge compared to today's modern ones. It hasn't been used much either which is a shame. I shall however, be taking lots of photos
Tried adding some pics of our last hol not sure if worked
Jo have a look or post in this thread:-
Jo
You can't copy/paste photos into HT, you have to upload them into the media galleries (HTtv) and post a link, just like I did with the video.
http://www.holidaytruths.tv/submit/
Or you upload the photo to another hosting site like ImageShack or Photobucket and once uploaded there are several options (links) to chose, depending if you want to show the photo ( which must not be more than 500 pixels in size) or a thumbnail size (where you have to click on it to enlarge.)
EG:Bananas growing opposite the promenade in Torremolinos

Uploaded with ImageShack.us
Think ive uploaded a few too many !
Not sure if i should have posted pics like that appologies if ive bent any rules...will have a good look at uploading later
Thanks Sanji for help

Great pics Jo. It would be great if you could post some in the media section. Have a good look there when you get time- it isn't too difficult to master, honest

No worries Sanji I was going to suggest Jo have a word with you but didn't want to 'put' on you if you were busy. (I knew you'd help though )
