If you mean the Shining Star, Oceanic is the shack next door. To the left facing the sea. Shining Star is fourth from the Baga river, Oceanic is fifth.

Hi Polly the Hotel Marina Dourada we think is great, theres all that most ppl need in the rooms, the Staff are wonderful and the hotel looks hugely impressive and its location is awesome. About a 5 min taxi ride to Baga Beach and yet in a quiet spot we love the place. Breakfast we only experienced a cpl of times we generally used Lilas Cafe which is about halfway down to the beach on the right hand side, as we remember it closed on a Tues and opened other days at 9a.m. we never ate any meals in the hotel so can't comment , it was just that there are so many other places to eat. Im sure u will love your hols we certainly did it was just all so new to us and we hope the magic will stay for ever.We get there on the 25th if u wanna meet up for a drink and a natter reply to this and we could maybe arrange something
ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As Ray commented Shining Star shack is next to Oceanic, The Lucky Star Shack is first on the right at the bottom of Titos Lane and is under construction as I type.

Hi Graymond,

I'll certainly have a look for you if I venture out that way, have been up at Vagator for the past few days so not had a chance to go to Baga. The problem is that when they build the shacks the name board is usually the last thing to go up.....but I'll certainly ask.

Hi there GFF. Do you know if the Oceanic is ready yet? we fly out sunday. I will need to look back to your earlier posts and get the name of Robin's place in Calangute, or I can even ask at the oceanic I guess.

Have a great time Bob.
Yes El, the Oceanic is up and running, been opened since mid-November.
Its one of the best beach shacks on Baga Beach we think. Four weeks time and we will be back there. :D

Yummy Mummy

I want to know the same thing we have used Squeeze for the last 4 years and will be back 5 weeks on Friday, are you going in the next few weeks? When you go, can you say a big hello to them all from me and tell them I'm on my way back soon (oh I'm sooooo excited now :D ).

I think Squeeze is just a few shacks along to the right from the Oceanic? (if you were facing the sea)
We were at Baga Beach at the Oceanic in November and I am sure Squeeze was opened.

I thought this was worth reviving for those who are browsing here about to book their first trip to Goa.
Anyone care to give a mini review of the resort?

I love Baga bach it was the first place we visited soon after arriving in Goa for the first time and it was like walking into a different world. I felt like i did on my first day at school! We just stood there like lemons awestruck by everything. We love the Oceanic and Lucky Star shacks, spent many a good time in them and cant wait to return next March. We also liked the Sunset up above the river end where it meets the sea, lovely to sit there as the sun goes down just people watching while having cocktails galore to choose from. We used to go off somewhere during the day but tended to spend our evenings around Baga and Calangute, plenty of great eating and drinking places to be had. I can see why people dislike Baga, it is hectic and noisy and dirty in places but its in my heart and always will be.
