Have you ever wondered which direction the carousels travel in various airports around the world ? If you go here :-

you will be able to find out, and also contribute information about airports not yet on their database.
I can't believe somebody has took the time to collate this info. Perhaps next they could give us the percentages of colours of luggage. Or perhaps I'm missing the point. Oh well! whatever floats yer boat.
Some men travel because they want to see new sights. Some men travel because they want to brag about where they've been when they return home. Some men travel to get away from home. I travel because I like to watch the luggage carousels. I like to watch the carousels go around and around carrying all the bags. And once I know my bag has arrived, I know that I have arrived.
The excitement I feel the moment I spot my bag is overwhelming. I never tire of it. I like other things about traveling -- queuing for the check in counter, going through security (I beam with pride when they see my neat packing), and eating those airline meals. But the trill of watching luggage carousels tops them all.
Now 'Sir' knows I am really sad because Bodrum is not on the list and I know which way it goes!
Am I sad? I've just checked for the Ibiza airport for when we go away in June!!
Well I think every bit of information helps, it means you know which way to look!!

I looked for Fuerteventura but it wasn't there Say what you like about the pointlessness of such information, but I like to be at the point nearest to where the luggage comes out, so we can grab it straight away instead of watching it moving round. Knowing which way the carousel goes round prevents you waiting at the end where it goes back in... OK, I'm a saddo... I'll get my coat...
If the carousel is stopped when you get to it, you can tell the direction that it will travel by the overlay pattern of the belt components.

Exactly.
Besides, most people are on package holidays, so even if you get your luggage first, you still have to wait for the other people who are going on your coach/transfer.
Cheers
Mark
