If you are interested to learn more about bananas then go. ie plants not trees. The children may find it interesting. If not give it a miss. The botanical gardens are worth a visit if you like tropical plants. The best of all is the Parot Park, a very full day out. As is a trip up the volcano. Enjoy have been to PdlC many times, going back next May.

thanks for the info Rickiebear. As my kids are more interested in seeing animals than plants I may just add this one to the bottom of the list under "if we have time". There seems to be so much to chose from. Will definately see Teide. Regarding Parrot Park / Loro Park - to be honest, I had kind of decided Id give this a miss and do the Jungle Park instead, but then I read another thread on this site about Ocra Ocean and now I think we will have to make sure we get to both!
