We went a couple of years ago, we thoroughly enjoyed it, food lovely with good choice of restaurants, loved the beach bar (great snacks). You must do the pirate trip (they are moored by the hotel), such a great night. Entertainment at the hotel could have been better, but you make your own holiday. Rooms very spacious (hammock on the balcony, nice touch). I think it is classed as Downtown Cancun, but easy to get around, buses very frequent and they are so cheap. Have a wonderful time.
