BCM had it's "official" closing party last Saturday and all the PR's have been laid off. It will however open on odd occasions, although you tend to find these are "Spanish nights" which are very different to the usual BCM nights.

Just scroll back, and you'll find most of the answers you need. It opens this weekend for the season, and I would expect the price to be low - maybe 12 or 15 euros, until it gets a little busier, towards the end of May and into June, when the price rises to maybe 20 euros. The free gifts vary from day to day.

Beware of getting scammed by your holiday rep - they "sell" you a week of entertainment for about 200 euros, two nights of which, they say include a free bar. The two nights of free bars are BCM (which at the moment you can probably get for about 15 euros maximum) and Pirates, who at this time of year are offering 20% discount off their normal price of 45 euros.

In other words you are paying about an extra 150 euros to be taken round the resort for the other 5 nights like sheep into bars, which remove all their special offers for the duration of the visit of the "Pub crawl" and they are paying the Reps about 1 euro a head for them to be brought into the bar. It's a racket, it's illegal, and the nett loser is the holidaymaker. Fortunately most experienced holidaymakers know to avoid these offers, but new holidaymakers should keep their money in their pockets, and choose from the dozens and dozens of bars, most of whom will offer you special deals to go in.

Sorry if I've gone off-topic a little, but it's a real source of irritation to me and many other bar owners to see these youngsters herded round the resort like sheep, whilst the reps are running round like Sheepdogs trying to stop them straying!

Pretty sure that BCM is opening for the season at end of April, since it's only open for occasional "spanish" Nights just now.

When it does open, it's normally pretty quiet for the first few weeks, since the younger crowd don't normally arrive in Magalluf until mid June, so wouldn't expect any big names until well into the season.

hi we are going to magaluf in september and wondered if the square would still have entertainment. my daughter went last july and said the entertainment in the square was great. we are too old for bmc nightclub so the square would suit us fine thanks everyone

It depends when you go in September. Later in the month the weather can be a little changeable, and since the square is open air, sometimes the shows are not on.

There's plenty of other entertainment about though in September, so you'll not be short of choice.

Most of the clubs such as Cyote Ugly have their end of season parties in October and last year Septemebr was sti;; heaving and BCM square still had shows on every night and was always something different
