Well done everyone as in the plot being lost and point well taken.

Just a few points to be made as in last year Dalaman were swiping passports so nothing sinister about the new terminal doing it.

You can still take out as much as you want if you want to take the chance unless you get an over zealous officail who has had a bad day.

I also think that this topic has well been used up.

Well said John, that is what I have been saying all through this thread. take out to much you may get caught, you may not, you may not even see a customs person. get caught with to much, no problem (your choice).

Yes it is people's choice, all people were doing was telling of there experiences and saying that passports were being stamped at the airports etc. I thought that was what this was for, not to post a comment and then be told its rubbish.

i w3onder if all the people on this thread realise that what they are actually discussing is breaking the law . no matter how you look at it that is exactly what it is ,and here we all are talking about it

Well just to add my 2 pennies worth My passport has never been stamped (apart from visa) & never been swiped. Although in May (old terminal) they did take a note of our passport number when purchasing cigs and told us we could 'legally' but 1000 per person But nothing stooping you going to another shop and buying some more!!

And as for enough being said about this topic - It is a discussion board, what am i missing??

i agree with leighanne, id never had my passport swiped in the old terminal either just checked, but this time in the new terminal they swiped it and the duty free is now 1 big shop instead of lots of little ones

Why is it when a topic on HT and only in the past few months has gone a few pages a certain little clique of people start to argue between themselves and then seem to act like a pack of dogs and pick on others for having an opinion that differs from theirs and then the topic in my opinion is finished.

When I say a topic is finished I mean that every course of action has been discussed and it is just going around in circles.

I do though though think that the same people are stirring it a bit in quite a few topics on HT at the moment and sometimes it is hard to work out which sex these people are.

Please remember what HT is about.
