When the children were younger we used to enjoy the Eureka bar in Malgrat, and Papa's bar in Calella, but it got so repetitive that the children got bored with the same things and more or less new what was going to happen next........

i agree about papas bar getting repetitive, especially playing "spanish" bingo - but it is a great bar to go to if you are a first/second timer to calella as the food is quite good and the staff are friendly and fun.i still pop in when i'm in calella -just not as often.
i also like the restaurant above the white horse- although i personally have never been too taken by that pub.
although i like malgrat as a resort, i've never found a pub there that i could settle in all night, the bingo seeming to go on forever, but it is quite fun working your way up from the rovers return visiting all the bars in that street, as some of the dutch bars are very friendly and and have a fun atmosphere.
i like both the highwayman in lloret, which is in the old town and plays rock music(loudly)until the small hours, and the robin hood at fanals which has a good atmosphere and has karaoke/big screen tvs and in roxys bar upstairs they do very good food.
the hungry horse-opposite the royal star in lloret does a great english/scottish breakfast and will hopefully be open on saturday

We holidayed at the Holiday Hotel in Calella in 1997 and also spent every night at the beach boys it was great and loved the atmosphere, and when we were to hungover we sat outside it. Would love to go again
